PROFILE OVERVIEW

Bawa Abdullahi Chafe is Senior Lecturer with Department of Estate Management, Faculty of Earth and Environment Sciences, Bayero University, Kano. He holds a doctorate in Housing Policy from University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. . His area of expertise and research interest includes housing policy and issues, urban studies and property management and land administration. He has published many articles in international journals, conferences and seminars related to housing and land administration. He has also vast experience in conducting research and private practice in estate surveying and valuation. He is an associate member of Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (ANIVS) and registered Estate Surveyor and Valuer (RSV) by the Estate Surveyors and Valuers Registration Board of Nigeria (ESVARBON). He is the Principal Partner of Bawa Abdullahi Chafe & Co. a firm of estate surveying and valuation. He sits as Committee Member of NIESV Education and Adult Route Committees. He was once a member of NIESV Editorial Boards and Learning Centre. At the university level, he is the current Head, Department of Estate Management, Faculty of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Bayero University, Kano (2021 to date).
